I am a writer and editor whose writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Daily Beast, Rolling Stone, Spin, Elle, Men’s Journal, Marie Claire, Los Angeles magazine, the New York Post, the Los Angeles Times, Slate, Salon, New York, and more. I am the former editor-in-chief of The Stranger, “Seattle’s only newspaper.” I have been a staff writer for the Seattle Times and a columnist for the Village Voice.
My corporate clients have included Uber, Red Bull, The Riveter, Brennivin, Leafly, Rover, Microsoft, and Retail Me Not.
I have been a fellow at MacDowell (2019, 2022), Millay (2020), and UCross (2021) where I worked on my my first book, tentatively titled, Commies, Hippies, Pinkos, Queers!: An Uncensored Oral History of the Village Voice, the News Weekly that Changed America (Public Affairs, an imprint of Hachette).
